Wild, wet & windy in Aberystryth
Submitted by Chris on Fri, 08/07/2011 - 11:24amChris spent a couple of days this week in a rather "inclement" Aberystwyth, to deliver a short invited lecture, at Aberystwyth University with the snappy title:
SLAs vs QoS vs Risk Management,or"The relationship between service level agreements, and IT service delivery in the overall context of business continuity & enterprise risk management".
As it was also a University open day, there was a good opportunity to have a look around and see all the changes since Chris went up to Aber in 1973!
Chris Sluman has an ITCH
Submitted by Chris on Mon, 27/06/2011 - 11:15amITCH (IT Can Help) is a British Computer Society initiative to provide IT support to disabled people, having difficulty with their computer system. Reduced or no access to the "outside world" can lead to isolation - but with expert help, this can easily be fixed.
Chris has recently been appointed to ITCH (all experts are volunteers) - see www.itcanhelp.org.uk/.
