In addition to our work on the interopability and communications aspects of distributed systems, Open-IT has:

• advised carriers, governments and users of networks in a range of networking topics
• worked on the development and application of long-term strategies for IT interoperability in business
• carried out data communications network design and installation for large customers

Designed, and written papers on the intra-enterprise interoperability bus.

Open-IT has also had significant long-term involvement in telecommunications and IT standardization.
